Maytag Model MDG2500Bww will not shut off in auto dry cycle
With the unit not shutting off during the auto dry cycle, the issue would most likely be caused by a faulty cycling thermostat. When the unit operates in the auto dry cycle, the timer motor does not get any power until the cycling thermostat shuts off. If this is not happing hten the issue is the cycling thermostat 307250.
My dryer just quit heating up.
Answer Hello Doll. Check and make sure you have 240 volts coming to the dryer. Check and make sure the unit is not set to Air Fluff. Also check the heater and thermostats and see if they are good. You can test these with a multi-meter TJMA-DM1. They should read closed for continuity. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
