Oven will at times not keep temperature during cooking cycle. Oven will attempt to ignite but will not.
Answer Hello Ken,
You would want to do an amp draw on the oven ignitor. You should be getting between 3.2 and 3.6 amps 8054129. If you are not then you need to replace the ignitor. You can also check the resistance of the gas valve 9763716. Should be 216 ohms between bake and common and broil and common.
I need 2 orifices for the whirpool gas oven 52 hood broil and 49 hood bake.
Answer Mike, to obtain the natural gas orifices you will need to order the oven valve 7501P232-60 and fitting 74010901. However, if you are needing the LP orifices you will need to use the conversion kit W10168551. Thanks!
I have a small gas leak at the broiler orifice, when all functions are off. I assume this valve controls this flow and, assuming it is defective, will this be the only reason I would get leakage?
Answer Hi Billy. You will need to immediately trip the gas valve top lever to the off position for safety concerns. While replacing the new safety valve, make sure that you use a gas type thread tape (yellow) Or the gas Thermatic brand thread compound at the local hardware store. Make sure the gas tubing is tight. Then make sure the on/off lever is placed on when ready to fire. Safety valve part # 9763716. Thank You.
