Water is dripping out from under the air vent where it is attached to the door. I took the gasket out and it was gunky, but otherwise looked ok. I put it back, but water is still dripping out. I'm assuming this gasket is all that needs to be replaced and not the whole air vent unit.

Answer Hello Alex,
I would recommend to remove the screws securing the door liner and make sure the front seal isn't leaking. It just seems to me that if the seal you are looking at is leaking, the leak should run down the door liner back into the tub. If it is leaking, you will have to replace the complete vent assembly 8545533 because the seal isn't available without the assembly.
How do I replace this gasket for my model? Thanks.

Answer Hello Robert,
This is a push in style gasket. You want to remove old gasket. Then starting in the middle top of unit push gasket into place from the middle of gasket. Then work your way down each side.
How do I disassemble air vent assembly in order to replace air vent gasket?
Jim S. for Model Number GU1200xtkx0
Answer Hello Jim. Remove the screws securing the inner door line, and unscrew the vent off the door panel. You can now access and replace the gasket 8269259. The vent cover has tabs that twist to lock into place and twist to unlock. Hope this helps.
