I'm trying to identifiy the "oring/gasket/??" that is around the, what looks like filter/drain of the unit. the old piece is grey in color and rectange in shape and came out in pieces. I think its item 37 on the online parts list? Thanks for any help or clarity to this situation.

Answer Ross, Item #37 99001797 is an "O" ring seal which is inserted into the pump cover to help form a seal between the micro mesh filter and pump cover, I don't think thats the component you're looking for, it wouldn't be a triangular shaped object. could it be the pump gasket ?
912529 it is gray in color and somewhat triangular shaped. This gasket would be inserted onto the rim of the pump body , then the assembly would be inserted into the opening in the bottom of the tub and the "clamping ring" would be tightened and locked in place to form a seal and keep the water from leaking under the dishwasher.
