I replaced the door gaskets on my Whirlpool refrigerator. Now the doors are whopped?
Answer Hello Bill. You need to remove the doors and re-install the gaskets onto the unit. It sounds like they are not installed properly onto the unit.
Door gaskets, how are they installed? Is freezer p/n door AP3092365 and door p/n AP3092355?
Answer Hello Bev! The refrigerator door gasket is part number 2188450A and the freezer door gasket is part number 2188460A. The door will need to be removed in order to install the seal and remove the screws from the existing seal. Pull the old gasket off. It may be best to soak the new gasket in warm water to help take its shape/form. The new gasket will press into the door liner. You may need to use a hair dryer to form the seal, be careful not to melt it. With the installation, you will have to screw in the corners first and do every other screw on each side to tighthen. Hope this information helps!
