This fridge is located in an office breakroom so laying out in a bath tub is not possible. When I pulled the present, black gasket back I saw metal screws holding it behind the inner, door tray. Do you unscrew these, of course with the tray empy, to remove the old gasket and then place the new one?

Answer Hi Phil. The door gasket shows like it is a pull out replacement type. If your model has the screws that also hold the inner door panel, then you remove the top half and install it first. Loosely apply the screws until the whole door gasket is done. This way you can wrap the seal around the inner door panel. Once you install the new gasket snug the screws. Then shut the door and see if the outer gasket side is wrinkled. (usually around the center where it was folded in the box). This is where you make sure the gasket is heated and use a putty knife to relax the seal where it normally seals on the cabinet side (more importantly). The back side of the new seal will seal against the back side of the inner door panel and the inner door. Door seal part 4-81048-007. Thank You.
Do instructions come with gasket on how to install?

Answer Hi Phil. Use the bath tub to fill with warm/hot water. unfold the new gasket and set it in the tub. Door gasket part # 4-81048-007. The gasket ids a pull on and off type. Set the gasket aside and dry the new gasket off . Inset gasket onto the door and use press firmly. You need to use a putty knife and a hair drier on the new gasket sides to strraignhtren it up. Put the putty knife in the sides of the gasket to hold. pointing there dryer on the putty knife and relax the gasket inner magnet. Thank You.
