What tools are needed to replace the gasket on this freezer.
Answer Norma, There are no "real" tools required to replace the door seal on this type refrigerator. You will want a tub of hot water to soak the gasket in, this will soften the gasket to make it easier to install an work with, A blow dryer may come in handy when working the last corner and a tablespoon or teaspoon for smoothing the gasket out and removing the wrinkles will also be handy. To remove the gasket grasp it in the top center of the door and pull it straight up and out, and work your way around the door. After the gasket has soaked in the hot water, install the gasket on the top of the door, then down both sides of the door, install the corner on the hinge side and work your way across the bottom to the opposite corner. It will be a bit tight to force the gasket onto the last corner(you may need the blow dryer to soften the seal again) once installed use the spoon to press the gasket down and into the gap between the plastic door liner and the metal door panel, and smooth any wrinkles or twists in the flat part of the gasket.

How do I install/ a replacement door gasket on this freezer? Gasket part number is AP3130384. What tools and/or materials are needed?
Answer Hello John. You will need to remove the door from the freezer. Then remove the screws from around the old gasket and remove the old gasket. Start at the corners with the new gasket and put the gasket between the inner door panel and the outer door frame. When installed properly, you may need to use a hair dryer to form the gasket to the freezer frame. Be careful not to melt the new gasket. Hope this helps.
