Answer Hello Kris. It sounds like he didn't get the gasket to seal properly. There is a small magnet in all of the gaskets 2266903. However, it is not designed to pull the gasket to the frame, only to help it seal. It is not very strong, and is not intended to pull the door shut. The gasket will need to be formed to seal the unit properly. Hope this helps
