I need to replace the gasket on my refrigerator model KBFC42FTS00. This is the right part, but my gasket has a flap on the top and the bottom that sticks out, which covers the door. I can't see these flaps in the diagram above. Can you confirm if the gasket has the 2 flaps?
Also, where can I find instructions on how to install the gasket? Thanks.

Answer Hello Aileen! The refrigerator door gasket is part number 8201809 and the freezer door gasket is part number 2309216. Here is some information on how to install the gaskets on your appliance: Pull the old gasket off. It may be best to soak the new gasket in warm water to help take its shape/form. The new gasket will press into the door liner. You may need to use a hair dryer to form the seal, be careful not to melt it. Hope this helps!
