Do I need any glue to attach this gasket to my Amana AFD2535DES right-hand french door?
Answer Hello Eric! No glue is needed to install the gasket 67003547. Pull the old gasket off. It may be best to soak the new gasket in warm water to help take its shape/form. The new gasket will press into the door liner. You may need to use a hair dryer to form the seal, be careful not to melt it. Hope this helps!
The Right door, rubber gasket has a lip on top where the doors meet, what part do I need to repair the rip in the lip area? Thanks
Answer Mommy, there is no way to "repair" a torn door seal, You'll have to replace the complete seal assembly 67003547. It's not as hard as it may look, the seal is inserted in a groove between the plastic liner and the metal door panel. Grasp the torn seal in the middle and pull out or away from the inner liner. Before you install the new seal, you'll find it easier to heat the seal in a tub of hot water, it'll help to have a blow dryer handy to heat the seal while your installing it as well. Smooth it out, and as wrinkle free as possible, put a dab of Vaseline on the flat part of the seal on the hinge side of the door. I'm sure you'll be fine, and Thanks for your inquiry.
