Is the gasket, item AP4013369, by Whirlpool the correct one for the fridge door? And are the above answers for the hex screws, the magnetic strip and the vaseline applicable to this one, too?

Answer Hello Frank! Yes, the gasket 12550109Q is the correct replacement gasket for the refrigerator door. The installation instructions will be the same. Remove the screws and pull the old gasket off. The new gasket will press into the door liner. With the installation, you will have to screw in the corners first and do every other screw on each side to tighthen. It may be best to soak the new gasket in warm water to help take its shape/form You may need to use a hair dryer to form the seal, be careful not to melt it. Hope this helps, thanks!
Hello,
My gasket seal is pushed out in the lower bottom left corner of my right-side opening fridge. Can I remove it and heat it say in a tub of hot water or the sun and reform it or will I have to replace the gasket? There is no rip or tear in it, just misshaped.
Thanks much,
Tara

Answer Tara, Yes you may want to try "flipping" the gasket and reinstalling it after a long soak in a tub of hot water. Once you have it installed again, you may want to apply a thin coat of "vaseline" to the hinge side of the gasket, wash the metal face flange with warm soapy water rinse and dry it, and apply a thin coat on the hinge side of the face flange as well.
