Not sure which glass panel to order for my model number. The inside glass is the broken one. Do I need to take the door off to replace it, or can I just remove the screws in the door?
Answer Hello Kris! If you are needing the most inner door glass, the glass you can touch when the door is opened, you will need part number 4449259. To change the glass in an oven door, you will need to determine how to remove the door on the model number you are working on. If you open the door to the first stopping point, some oven doors will lift off the unit in this position. On other models, you will see clips on the back of the hinge toward the opening where the hinge enters the range. If yours is like this, you will open the door all the way open, then pull the clips down until they stop and lock in place. Then close the door to the stopping point and lift the door off the range. If your door does not lift off, and it does not have the clips, then you will open the door all the way open. You will see a hole in the hinge at the bottom of the door. You will insert a pin or nail into that hole and close the door to the stopping point. Then you can lift the door off the unit. Once the door is removed, you will lay it on a soft surface and disassemble the door. Pay attention and make notes if needed for reassembly of the oven door. Once you have replaced the door glass, you will reinstall the oven door back onto the range in reverse order of the way you removed it. Thanks!
I broke oven door glass tightening handle. I see in the figure that there are 2 glass panels for the outer door? From what I can see on my door there is only 1 glass panel.
Answer Steve, according to your model KEBC107KSS0 there is only one outer door glass panel. However, there are two inner door glass panels right behind that and another one on the most inner section of the door. For the outer door glass in stainless use part number W10401225 and for black use part number W10200754. Thanks!
Hi: I need to replace the glass panel of the door that faces the inside of the oven. I believe that the part number is AP3008998. How would I go about removing the broken panel and replacing it with a new one? Thank you : Alam
Answer Hi Alam. Clear off the table and use a shipping blanket to protect it with. Lock the door hinge with a nail or such in the hinge type with side holes that align with the door open. Lay the dooron the front side down on blanket. Then remove side trim screws to begin to separate the panels section by section. Lay the insulation that surrounds the inside glass frame aside so you tuck it back in securly. Camera photos help. Then replace the glass and clean all as you work your way out. Glass part # 4455257. Thank You.
