Fairly often my water lines spring leaks. I have been replacing with refrigerator tubing from Home Deport but it starts leaking again probably within 6 months or less.
Is this a thicker or stronger tubing that might hold up longer? I am assuming so as its OEM.
Anything else that might be causing repeated leaks in lines?
The water tubing should not leak every 6 months unless the tubing is being replaced a little at a time. When replacing tubing you would want to replaced the entire water line. Also check the tubing to see if it is brittle. Make sure that condenser fan is operational and not causing too high of heat behind unit that could cause dry lines.
What would cause my icemaker to constantly freeze up ?
Answer Dean, Don't quite understand your issue, but if the ice maker fill valve is dripping water into the ice maker, it would have a tendency to freeze over, but the fill tube should eventually freeze solid with water and ice. The other possibility, the ice chute flapper on the dispenser is not closing and sealing properly, the room air is being drawn in and up to the ice maker and causing it to freeze over. I'm pretty sure you'll find your problem in one of these areas. Good Luck, and Thanks.
