If the door handle release is broken and will not allow th door to open Is their a latch release somewhere. How would the technician get the door open?

Answer Hello Mike. If you lift upward on the door and the handle and pull at the same time with a little force, the door should open and you can replace the door handle release 487596. Hope this helps.
