I have a maytag stove that the first & second on the left side, gas knobs will continue to ignite the gas burner, & will not stop sending the spark to the burners. What part do I need to replace.
Answer Hello Ernie,
You will want to test the ignition switches on the valves. Turn gas off. With gas off to unit and the switch in the off position check continuity of the switches to make sure that they are reading open. If they read closed then you would want to replace the switch 74010630
Left front burner will not lite . Have replaced the igniter. Still nothing. Would the harness. Switch be causing the problem ? Which of the three listed is the one I would need ? There is no current showing on the left front switch.
Answer Hi Wizzkidd. See if you have 120 vac on the blk. lead at the switch. If you do then jump this with the red wire from the switch. If you get the igniter to spark, then you will need the switch part # 74010630. This sends the voltage to the spark module part # 74008821. If you then have the 120 vac between the red and white at the module and all wire connections to the igniter are good, then you will need to replace the spark module. Thank You.
