Where can I find my model number?

On a scale of 1 to 10 how difficult is it to replace a wiring harness. The dishwasher is approx 8 years old and has served me well. I noticed a crackling sound and some smoke coming from the lower right side of door when the door was closed. When I removed the inner door panel I also noticed that wires were exposed and the sheething to these wires was rotting exposing bare wire and causing shorts in the circuits. It appears to have been happening over a period of years. The power and water suppy is shut down at this time. My questions are: 1) Is this a common problem common? 2) What other parts might I need if I attempt this repair? 3) In the end will it be worth it? Thank You for for your concern. Ray Mattuchio

Answer Hi Ray. The wiring harness is part # 99002487. The soap dispenser is part # 99003317. You should remove power. Remove mount screws. Shut off water supply. pull out unit and tilt upwards. Support unit. This will alllow access to the wiring harness. After you remove inner door then inspect the soap dispenser for leaking. Sometimes this will leak on the wiring harness and cause issues. Flatten the wires carefully as you pass through lower tub cover. Thank you.
