Dear sirs, I have no heat coming out of my dryer, I've checked all parts related to heat with a multi meter and I have continuity in all heat related parts listed, thermal fuse, thermostat, thermal cut off, heating element. Then I began checking control panel, and I came to the cycle switch wiring harness that has a diode part number 3396029, checked continuity on diode, it has none, would this cause a no heat problem with my dryer.
Answer Steve, The harness and resistor (not a diode) are a part of the temperature switch circuitry. To test the circuit remove the wires from the timer terminals and attach the meter leads to the wires, adjust the temperature switch from lowest to highest setting, you should see an increase in the resistance. if not then replace the harness. We believe you will most likely find a problem in the voltage from the timer or motor, or possibly a broken or loose wire.
