Can I touch the heating element with my hands and fingers or will the element burn out because of the oils from my skin ?
Steve
Answer Hello Steve. Yes, you can touch the element when installing it into the unit. Just don't touch when the element is hot to prevent from getting burnt.
the heater gasket failed after the element was removed and then put back into place. It was definitely pushed in all the way. Does it need a replacement gasket?

Answer Sandy, No, you do not need a repalcement gasket. there is a seal built into the metal flange of the heater assembly, as you tightne the mounting bolt in the center the gasket will seal around the entire assembly, provided there's no nicks or damage to the heayter opening on the tub and the hetar is properly installed. Good Luck and Thanks
