Replaced the heating element - purchased it from you. Unable to get the heater box to properly seat with the air duct. Upon inspection, the section of the heater box closest to the air duct has been intentionally misshapen - assumed to have happened by previous owner/repair tech. Noted accumulation of dryer lint at base of air duct when heater box removed - probably was not seated correctly for a long time. Actually, back end of heater box dropped as soon as I started to remove heating element cover plate. Now, I am unable to properly seat the heater box. What are my options? The heater box for my dryer has been discontinued from the manufacturer per your web site.

Dryer is not heating but has power to dryer. Removed heater box and checked continuity of heating element, thermal cut off and 250 F thermostat installed in heater box. Continuity is fine. This leads me to believe heating element, and thermostats are not bad. Trying to reinstall heater box having extreme difficulty. It appears heater box slips over air duct and is held in place by 1 screw bracket and in metal frame of bracket to floor of dryer. Is there a trick to reinstalling heater box? I am working from front lower panel of dryer. I have not removed drum at this point. However it looks like I may have to remove top and drum to install heater box over air duct. Is there a better way to install heater box? Not sure where to continue trouble shooting dryer heating problem since heating element and thermostat's do not test bad.
