I am buying this part now. How would I remove and install this part in my freezer?

Answer Hello Mr. Ferguson. Disconnect the power to the unit. Remove all the food from the freezer. Next remove the shelves and baskets from the freezer. Remove the screws securing the back wall inside the freezer and remove the back wall. Now unplug the wires for the defrost heater from the control board in the back of the freezer. Remove the 1/4" screws from the heater brackets and work the brackets and heaters out of the unit. Now work the wires for the heaters out of the sides of the evaporator compartment. Once removed, lay the heaters on a table like they were installed. Now lay the new heaters 61001874 on the table beside the old ones where they look the same. Remove the clips and brackets from the old heaters and install them onto the new heaters. Reinstall in reverse order. Hope this helps.
