After replacing my water inlet valve, my fridge / freezer quit working for some reason. The lower fan works and I think the compressor work (it vibrates and is warm). I've adjusted the temperature controls to no avail. I took the back panel off in my freezer to expose the evaporator coil. It is not getting cold. Do you think I have the defroster stuck in the on position or have to replace the thermostat in the fresh food section? I have not noticed any excessive condensation prior to the problem (exept my ice tray melting). The last ice I have seen was on the dryer tube. It appeared to freeze over. once thawed out, the small copper tube coming of the bottom of the dryer started refreezing up to where it turns into a black wire (assuming that may be a temperature probe of some type. Please advise.
