Answer Hello Johnm. It shouldn't run the pan over in a normal defrost cycle. The water will evaporate fast enough to allow the new water room in the pan. I would leave it as is unless the water does overflow onto the floor. Just keep an eye on it for a few days and see how it does. You do not need to install an on and off switch on the heater 2006751. Answer John, Yes the 2 prong female white connector is a "test" plug connector, it does not have a male counter part, and should have a brown and a pink wire attached. Most repair persons, would usually cut out the connector and use sealable wire nuts to make the attachment. As for replacement connectors, your best bet would be a local electrical supply company or "Radio Shack". Good Luck
