The water line in back of fridge pops off and the tube in ice maker freezes solid. Won't let water go in and make ice.

Answer Hello Bob. The fountain heater is used to prevent the water line from freezing up in the freezer door. If there is a frost build up, you will need to check and see if the flap is broken in the dispenser. If so, you will need to replace the fountain kit 12001991. Hope this helps.
