Answer Hi Matt. Use a volt/ohm meter part #@ TJMA-DM1 to assist you in your diagnostics. Under the controls is a field service tech. sheet. Use this to help follow the wiring diagram to trace out the circuits. When you see sparks it is an indication of a direct short or loose connection. Until you repair the heater and the element, then you cannot tell what will be needed if anything. Make sure all connections are tight and not grounded out. Look for all inner cabinet areas where black smoke or a pitted hole has occurred. Thank You.
