My dryer comes on and makes a noise (like some foreign object in inside) and will need 3 or 4 cycles to dry a load of clothes. How to I check to be sure it is the element before I place an order?

I replaced the gas coils, thermal fuse and thermostat. The dryer seems to still take a while to get hot. It seems warms at first then at the end of the cycle is hot. Time for drying seems longer than "normal." Any suggestions on what the problem might still be?

How do I know if the dryer has a thermal fuse heat shield or not in order to buy the correct element?

I have a maytag neptune electric dryer that is not working correctly. Here is what I have found. The dryer will turn on, the drum will spin but there is not air movement and the heating element is not heating either ( I have front off and door off and I'm turning the dryer on, I know not recommended). I have replaced the entire heating element and shroud with in the last year. What should I be looking for now.

How practical would it be to convert a Maytag Neptune gas dryer to electric? Would the electric heater assembly fit? Is the computer board specific to the heat source? I don't have natural gas available where I live, I realize I could convert the dryer to propane easily enough, but I fear it would cost a fortune to run, and there is no propane line in the laundry area.
