Hi,
The bottom drain clogs with ice. I cleaned it couple of times & this happens on consistent basis in less than a week. Do I have problem with heater & thermostat? or is it something else?
If that is the case, than I know I need to buy your Part Number: AP4072797.
thanks

Answer Hello AK. It sounds like the drain is not clearing out all the way. When you clean out the drain, pour hot water through the drain and make sure it flows freely. If not, then there is something blocking the drain line and causing it to freezer over. You may need to use a small plastic pipe snake and clear the drain hose on the unit. If the water flows freely, you will want to check and see if the condenser fan motor 61002038 is running properly to evaporate the water in the unit.
If the heater assembly was defective when the compressor came on would I hear a clicking noise coming from inside the freezer compartment were the fan is located? The noise goes away after about 45 sec. when we open the cover the coils are frozen.

Answer Hi Keith. If you are positive that 1-the noise is from the freezer area, and 2- it is not the fan blade hitting on anything (ice build up) then the only other clicking noise there at the evap. coils will be the thermostat part # 61006116. It comes with the heater prewired. Make sure that you are not hearing the compressor side mounted relay part # 12002794. This is a sign of Comp. run relay failure. Thank You.
