If water goes into the dishwasher when first turned on is cold. Does it warm up during the cycle? Is the heater coil what warms the water up?
Answer Hello Lori. The dishwasher does warm the water a little using the heater W10082896. The best way to wash the dishes, is to get the water hot at the sink and then start the dishwasher. In that case the dishwasher will receive hot water on the fill cycle. Hope this helps.
If my items on the top rack are not drying would replacing the heater be the logical first option.
Answer Hi Linda. You have to use a thermometer at your sink water to make sure it is at least 120 degrees or higher,(the hotter the better). Make sure your rinse aid dispenser is full. It will normally take the first 10/12 washes to properly coat the inside's of the entire inner walls, racks and motor spray arms for you to notice a change. Rinse -Aid part is readily availible at the local Wallmart or Wallgreens, CVS pharmacies. Please try this first. Is the dishwasher bringing up any fault codes? Thank you.
