Order Number: 3407805 I have a Kenmore/Whirlpool washer, model # 11042922200, and I was getting a fault code F/05. As a result, I have replaced the water temperature sensor and heating element (not sure if maybe the replacement parts are defective - maybe previously used as they were not in a sealed bag but in a taped box). Anyway, when I started up the washer again, I got the F/05 fault code again. After cancelling it, I then get the F/11 code. So now after replacing the temp sensor and heating element, I am getting the F/05 and then F/11 fault codes. Suggestions? The connections seem good on the heating element and all wires were reconnected.

My Whirlpool Washer keeps giving a F-05 fail code. I replaced the ntc sensor and still have the problem. I removed the heating element and it looks perfect, maybe too perfect. Shouldn't it have scale or something? This is clean and doesn't show any signs of being a heavily used 6 year old machine. I checked the resistance and it is giving 14.5 ohms resistance across the terminals. Do you think the problem is this element?

the heater gasket failed after the element was removed and then put back into place. It was definitely pushed in all the way. Does it need a replacement gasket?
