The top left rear corner of the dryer gets extremely hot quickly. I removed the heater and when I connect one side to 110v it gets hot and when I connect it to the other it gets extremely hot. The coils do not look like they are shorted. Thanks for your help

The timer on this dryer was set for 1:35 and will count down to 1:33 then jump to 0:02 minutes and will count down to end then turns off. What can be done.

The dryer takes 3 hours to dry a load of clothes. It just isn't getting hot enough. It is otherwise working just fine.

Latest Questions

Installed this unit 5 years ago and it worked okay untill a year ago; the drying performance has steadily deteriorated. we now have to run it through 2 cycles and it's still not dry. Checked and cleaned the vent but it's no better. The duct at the back of the dryer is warm but certainly not as hot as when new.

Hello, this stack unit Maytag dryer just doesn't seem to get hot enough, after 90 minutes an average load is still very damp. Which is the cycling thermostat? Also, what should the ohmage reading be on the heater coils? The venting system is all clear and blowing good. Thanks, Steve
