I am having trouble installing part # AP3131941 can you help?
Answer Hello Joe. One side of this goes onto the heater terminal and the other connects to the wire. You will pull the old one off the heater leg to remove and then put the new one in it's place. Hope this helps.

Answer Hello Doris. Check and make sure you have 240 volts coming to the dryer. Check and make sure the unit is not set to Air Fluff. Also check the heater and thermostats and see if they are good. You can test these with a multi-meter TJMA-DM1. They should read closed for continuity. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
Hi, The red wire on the top connection clip of my high limit thermostat melted off , its the wire that runs to the top connection clip of dryer cycling thermostat . Any suggestions .Thanks
Answer Joe, Most damaged wires and terminals on an electric dryer are due to a high amperage draw. First check and make sure there are no loose connections or frayed wiring. Repair the damaged wire(s) 279457 and check the exhaust vent and hood for restrictions or clogs.
