Dryer trips breaker after 2-3 minutes but not when setting is on air dry/fluff. Disconnected dryer from exhaust hose with same results. Removed heater element - inspection shows no oxidation/charring.

The dryer wasn't heating up. We put on a new Heating Element and put it back together, turned on the dryer and it heated for about 10 minutes. We read that you are not to touch the Thermostat element with your hands. Is this true? If it is, can we replace this thermostat and the heating element looks to be okay.
