Answer Hello Joe. One side of this goes onto the heater terminal and the other connects to the wire. You will pull the old one off the heater leg to remove and then put the new one in it's place. Hope this helps.

Answer Hello Silvio. You will need to check the thermal fuse and the door switch on the unit. If either is bad, it will cause the unit not to do anything.

Answer Hello Peter, You will want to check to make sure that the heater is not touching to ground when installed and check to make sure that there are no wires that lead to heater that is shorting out. Check all wiring.

Answer Hello Diana. No, it should not damage the part. You may have a cycle thermostat issue or a venting issue causing the over heating propblem. You will need to check the vent, blower wheel, and inside for clogs and kinks.

Answer Hi Ken, check your thermostat 3977767 for continuity. You have more than one and they should all read closed. If any are open, replace them. Also, check your venting for any restrictions.
