So, we took off the door and side panels but have discovered the that side panel is held in by a screw under the top, but can't figure out how to get the top off. Could you give us another suggestion? Thank you for your time.
Answer Hello Kate,
Disconnect the power from the unit and open the door. Look straight up where the door was when it was in the closed position. There should be 2 screws securing the main top to the body of the unit. Remove these two screws and the main top will raise up. You can, if you want, disconnect the molex connector that connects the wiring from the main body to the main top. The top can now be lifted off of the rear pivot points and set aside for easier access to the body side screws. I think these hinges can be changed from inside the drawer area without removing the body sides, which would prevent the complete disassembly of the unit and make the job a twenty minute job.
Does the door hinge come with installation instructions? Does it require any special tools to install the it?
Answer Josie, The door hinge(s) don't come with installation instructions, but basic hand tools will be all you need, no special tools. You will need to move the oven out of the cabinet so you can remove the side panels, and remove the oven door in order to access and change the hinge assembly(s). Nothing you can't handle. Thanks and Good Luck
