I need to replace the drain hose because the current one has a hole in it. How do I get the current hose detached from the washing machine? It doesn't look like it has a clamp like the video. Thanks!
Answer Hello Lisa,
This unit should have a clamp or you will end up with a leak. The clamp used on this design will require a pair of pliers just like in the video but the hose connects in the bottom of the machine. The parts list actually shows a clamp that can be remove with either a flat blade screwdriver or a small socket, (usually 5/16 or 1/4 inch). You will have to remove the main back cover to perform this part replacement.
I need step by step instructions on how to replace this hose.
To change out the hose you will need to unplug the washer. Turn off the water supply to the washer. Disconnect the hot and cold water hoses from the rear of the washer and remove the end of the drain hose from the standpipe. Take the washer lid closed. Carefully lay the washer on its front panel, place padding on the floor to protect the surface. Loosen the clamp and pull the drain hose off the pump. Not that there is a tab on the outlet connector that fits into a slot in the hose. You can now remove the drain hose and install the new hose.
I need the hose that attaches to the bleach tray. Can you tell me what part it is?
Answer Jim, the bleach dispenser hose comes with the dispenser itself. Your part number is W10642276. Thanks!
