Answer Hello Christy. No, there is no wire ring used inside the hose. If the issue continues and there is no more clogs, you may need to replace the drain pump on the unit.

Answer Teresa, The "check" ball is inserted into the large opening in the large end of the tub to pump hose. Whwn properly installed it resides in the chamber under the opening and when water backfushes up the hose, it blocks the opening. Thanks

Answer Phil, the tub to pump hose 8181732 is the correct replacment hose used on model GHW9150PW1. This hose does not include the ball W10121657. The ball will push inside the hose, you may need to grease the ball a little to get it through the hole in the hose. Thanks!

Answer JG, The ball goes between the large end of the tube and the tub bottom. It acts as an "anti syphon" device and keeps drain water from enterrring the tub from the drain system. Good Luck and Thanks

Answer Hello Robin! No, the hose 8181732 does not come with the clamp. Searching a model that uses this hose the large clamp is part number 696392 and the smaller clamp, to connect to pump, is 285655. Thanks!
