MAV5057AWW Maytag Washer. The outlet drain hose has an octagon end the past number given will not fit without leaking. Does the hose have to be removed from drum to adapt to a conventional hose end?
Answer Hi Michael. The octogonal form is the section part which transitions between the inner / outer tub. At the drain end, the hose is round with 2 - side cut notches formed so that air will get into the drain and it eliminates the chance of air lock. (which creates leaks). So this 90" type is used, part # 22003410. If you need an extension this part # is 12001585. A siphon break is part # 76660. Thank You.
My outlet hose has an octagon end how do I adapt my drain hose to it?
Answer Hello Michael. 22003410 is the drain hose. 22003285 is the tub to pump hose. It sounds like you need the drain hose. Hope this helps.
