I replaced the freezer control assembly #3 and the freezer stays running even at the lowest setting and won't shut off. What should I do?

Answer Hello Dave,
A couple of things to check. 1st are you temperatures correct in both fresh food and freezer compartments. If they are not then look for frost on the back wall of freezer or for the evaporator coils behind wall to be impacted with frost. If this is the case then you are looking at a defrost issue. You would then want to check continuity for the defrost bi-metal and the heater61006116. If they both check good then advance your defrost timer 68233-2 into the defrost mode. This should turn the heater on and unit will be in defrost. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
Is #8 the part that keeps my refrigeration cold?

Answer Hi Joe. The freezer damper assy. part # 61005989 is the control assy. that controls the amount of freezer air entering the fresh food section. If this remains closed then it will create issues. Also remove the middle crisper drawer and look to see if the return air duct. assy flap part # 61006081 is not broken and is hanging closed. It has to allow the fresh food air to return to the freezer evaporator area in a circular motion to keep fresh the food interior cold. Thank You.
