I just bought a motor and pump, but my dishwasher will still not drain. Do you think it could be this switch?
Answer Hello Mike. If the dishwasher is bringing in water, then the float switch should be ok. You can test the switch to make sure it is good. Across NC and COM it should read closed, and across NO and COM it should read open. Make sure the drain hose is not clogged. You will need to test and see if the board is sending power to the pump, when the unit goes into drain. If not, then the board W10039780 will need to be replaced. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DM1. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
