Everything works and sounds as it should but the coupler feels like it's stripped. It's too weak to push or turn the coil-like metal that pushes the ice out of the dispenser. Is this the part that should be replaced?

Had a hard time getting the ice bin out of the door to clean out. After removing the ice tray...with a lot of difficulty, the shaft seems to be sticking out to far for the bin to fit back in. I made sure the shaft was properly aligned with the gear and it slide in perfectly...up to the screw on top...but the shaft is still pushing the bin up to high for it to lock into place and fit in the door. Also, now when I push light button and the ice lever on the front of the door, the motor turns on but the shaft does not move. Has the plastic piece on the shaft been moved down and it's not fitting in the motor now?

Auger motor does not turn (held door closed button); auger turns freely; how do I determine if the motor needs replacing or if the problem is the control board? Thanks.

Hi, I have a maytag fridge which is 240v/50hz and the thread on the ice dispenser motor has been stripped. I believe I need to replace the motor and get a new coupler. The fridge was from the early 2000's. I also need a ice maker unit to suite as the current one is leaking. I believe the one I need is here for 240v: ap4360354.

The icemaker won't dispense the ice. When the bin is emptied and and ice starts to fill up it will dispense it. It will work when there is a very light amount of ice. When it starts to fill it will no longer push the ice out. What part do I need?

The ice dispenser motor comes on unexpectedly dumping ice on the floor, then stops. Does this frequently. Replaced the control board and pad with no success. What causes this to happen and how do I fix it?
