My whirlpool refrigerator ice machine is not collecting water, but the water section is. I checked the fill tube its not frozen. I checked the water hose its fine. I changed the water valve and the hose its still not collecting water. I add water to it manually, its frozen in the ice tray but is not letting it loose. The water section is working fine the temperature is between 4 and 5 as stated.

Water fill tube to the ice maker keeps freezing up. Water inlet was already replaced. Fill tube was removed from the back of the refrigerator and has no blockage. It will fill once or twice, ice will dump into the container, then feed tube will freeze up again.

Latest Questions

The ice maker works fine making ice but there is a constant slow water drip into the back of the plastic ice container/holder that freezes and causes all the ice in the ice container to freeze together. This happens only when the ice tray bar is down. There is no leaking when the ice tray bar is up. Will part PS329669 repair this?

I have ordered and replaced the ejector arm on my icemaker. Since removing the icemaker to replace the arm and putting everything back together I now have leaking right at the icemaker water fill tube. Mine is shaped like a rounded L. If I order the part you guys show will that work with my unit. Mine did remove from the inside and it had some build up I could see and remove with a knife. Thanks for any info you can supply!

The Ice maker fill tube fitting in my freezer freezes up sometimes. It's solid ice from the flange that screws into the back of the fridge to the end at the ice maker. I have to remove it to thaw it out. When I unscrew the hose from it there is a little water pressure built up. Why would this freeze? Why would it hold water to freeze? It seems as though the water would just run into the tray. Something is keeping the water from running off the tube?? There is nothing apparent to plug it and hold the water until it freezes. It is not cracked, the valve doesn't let too much water through because the tray is never overfilled. Thanks for your time!
