How do I remove the ice maker? It froze and I broke it getting the ice out. There is a small tab on the lower left that loosens it but it still doesn't slide out
Answer Matt, First thing, unplug the power cord or remove power to the refrigerator, Then remove the ice cube container/bin from the compartment. In the left hand side wall of the ice maker / bin compartment you'll see the removable wire harness cover, that extends from the front of the compartment, back to the rear wall 67006350 . use a car or house key, insert it into the small rectangular opening and press down on the hidden locking tab and slide the panel forward a 1/4 to 3/8 of an inch, to dingage the tabs holding the panel to the wall. once the panel is removed, press down on the tab on the front left corner of the icemaker assembly and slide the whole assembly out of the compartment, then disconnect the wiring harness. Thanks and Good Luck
Can ice maker be forced to cycle and if so how?
