Is there any way to check a igniter to see it is good?
Answer Ollie, the igniter listed for your model is part number 279311. You'll need to check for resistance. The resistance of the igniter will be between 1200 and 1400 ohms at room temp. Thanks.
My dryer some times is heating?
Answer Hello Juan. If it works at the start and then does not relight, replace the coils 279834 on the unit.
I just replaced the igniter on our dryer...igniter still doesn't work. Any ideas?
Answer Hello Jim. You will need to test the thermostats and the flame sensor and make sure they are good. They should read closed for continuity. If igniter is not glowing, test for power. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter for the testing procedures. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
