I have repaced my gas valve/regulator# 9752698 and ignitor 9782065. I have proper voltage at the valve and proper resistance at the ignitor (glows white and checked with ohm meter). Oven still does not come on.

I'm having issues having my oven light on bake. I have removed the igniter (part 9782065). What does the manfucaturer the resistance should be? I am thinking this might be my problem. It is reading 246 ohms.

Latest Questions

My oven will only heat to 450°F. No other temperature and when using it smells like gas a little. Would this be the ignitor or is there a thermo coupler I'm not seeing?

Hi I have read the link few times but rule 1 says disconnect the power supply and rule 2 disconnect the wiring connected the any component you are testing. For my case, you suggested to test for 3.2-3.6 volts AC at the gas safety valve with the igniter turned on. My questions are 1. I should NOT disconnect the power supply or the wires before I start BAKE function ?? 2. Choose the 200 setting on my digital meter? 3. See if voltage of the display shows 3.2-3.6 volts AC or lower than that to ? Thank you!!
