Two switches on my cooktop turn with no affect, (they do not turn on burners). One is for a single element and one is for a duel element. Are they the same part and what are the correct part numbers?

Since you didn't mention which elements would not turn on, I'll list them all. First off, the dual element infinite switch is part number 12002121. This one is for the right front element. At this point, the manufacturer states that if a longer shaft is required for this switch, order part number 12002125.
For the single elements, the front left and center elements will use part number 74007840, and the right rear and left rear use part number 74007841.
