Hi, I'd like to know how to get to the 'infinite switch' on my Kitchen Aid top burner(part # W10307362). How do I get take the panel with nobs off to access the electrical parts? Thanks, Cynthia

Answer Hello Cynthia. 1. Unplug range or disconnect power. 2. Pull the range forward far enough to access the end cap screws. 3. To remove the control panel: a) Remove the screw from each end cap. b) Open the oven door and remove the three screws from the bottom of the control panel. c) Lift the front of the control panel, pull it forward, and slide the front edge of the cooktop glass out of the slot in the front of the panel. d) Rotate the control panel up and over so the bottom side faces up. 4. To remove an infinite switch: a) Pull the knob off the switch you wish to service and remove the nut and fiber flat washer. b) Remove the wires from the infinite switch terminals and remove the switch. NOTE: The terminal callouts are shown on the next page.

Hello AppliancePartsPros: the W10307362 Kit seems like it’s a replacement for the entire four switches, including a new harness. I’m OK with that, however, I looked VERY carefully at your websites product view’s photos and did not see any short harness pigtail/takeout for the LED, nor any way to illuminate the separate LEDs for indicating a hot surface. My old Whirlpool OEM switches do indeed have a separate short harness which plugs into the back of the old style switch. Yours does not seem to have that. Note that when I Googled the above PN your ad popped it specifically cited the following: “Mine has p/n 9759782 and has connections for the LED + & - and J006 on it.” If you ad is clicked, the resulting page does not reference the p/n 9759782 or show an LED connector/harness. Please confirm that your Kit does indeed have this LED lighting capability and also indicate where that specific harness would be on the main harness shown in your ad’s photo. Thank you.

My model is YKESA 907 PS00; Serial No. XR 4711726, 2006 model. I try to repair a defective switch (#9760001/976000 as written in the old switch) in a Kitchenaid slide in electric oven convection. I was given a substituted part #W10307362 (containing a whole set of 4-Infinite Switch Kit with wiring). I replaced all 4-switches in the new kit. At the end, I notice a black wire with a plastic plug connected to a light purple wire undernealth the elements in the middle of the stove. I pulled this black wire out from the old wiring system. My question: I couldn't find this black wire in the new kit. Am I given a right kit parts? Now, the purple wire with the plastic plug is still inside connecting to nothing. What should I do? What's that old black wire for? Could you also give me a site to see and print out the technical repair layout sheet on how to connect the the wiring in this model? Or to send me such layout via my email.

Answer Hi Julia. Please remember the kit is used on similar models close to yours also. Is the unit properly working now? Inside the clock controls or down by the drawer is the wiring diagram folded in a packet. There are 2-violet wires going to the main oven sensor. There are 2-violet wires going to the meat probe. Your wiring diagram may be different according to your serial #. Let us know if we can assist further. Thank You.

My oven has 3 dual and 1 single switch. Your discription says the part comes with 3-singles & 1- dual swith, is this a mistake?
