My dishwasher has developed a leak between the air/water inlet and the side if the dishwasher causing a drip down the outside of the side panel. Could this be due to the o-ring? Can I check through the grill inside and if so, how do you remove it?

I noticed a leak coming from the black hose and dripping down it and pooling underneath our dishwasher. I had done some maintenance and removed the cap on the interior of the washer to this part. Only after this did it start leaking. So my fault. Upon disassembly, I found that I had not placed the cap back on properly and it was mis-seated. I pulled the Air/Water Inlet valve off to inspect it and the rubber O-Ring fell right into my hands. Before I put this back together, should this O-Ring be re-inserted without any Silicon or should I put some in there?

if you dont use the high pressure filter on this model, is there suppose to be a plug to plug the hole where this filter goes...I mean on the vertical water tube on the back of the washer that supplies water to the upper wash arms...if you are facing the washer halfway up this tube on the left there is this hole that is open now without the filter, doesnt that just dump water into the washer instead of going to the arms...thanks
