Answer Hurmand, Most of the time, you need a gear puller assembly and a little penetrating oild to remove the drive bell/spline assembly R9900189 from the agitator shaft, once you have the mounting screw and "o" ring removed. Good Luck and Thanks

Answer Hello Mot. Yes, you will need to remove the nut to remove the spline insert 40008301. Once the nut is removed, the spline insert will slide off the shaft. Hope this helps.
