Thanks for the prompt response. So basically a power surge may ave blown both the 40w and the 1100w inveter boards? Ouch$$. From what I read about the problems with these particular models on line, I guess I was lucky to have gotten 7 years out of it. There is a larger component on the 40w board that appears to have some brown oily looking stuff on its outer circular wrappper. I suppose that componet could be a issue on the board?

Answer Hello Aaron. When you have a surge, it can damage several different parts and cause different issues. There are 3 different boards that can be affected. The display 8205237, and both inverter boards 8204989 and W10217710.

Hi, have this G2 Microven that made a loud pop then a large electical smell. Replaced the ceramic fuse on the 40w inverter board towards the front and the control panel lights up but there is no hood fan, interior or exterior light functions. Most of all, it blows the ceramic fuse the minute you try too cook something. So my question is, with the fans and Lights in opp without cooking. is it more likely this 40W inverter board or the larger inverter board in the back causing the problem? What ever it did, it cooked the wall outlet it was plugged into as well just to give you an idea. Thanks for any help you can give on the dianosis

Answer Hello Aaron. The small inverter board 8204989 does supply power to the cavity light and fan. You may have had a surge and all the boards on the unit may have gotten hit. You need to check all the boards for burn spots or blown traces on the boards.
