My fan keeps going on and off every and there is a chirping noise. I removed the back panel and listened for the noise. It sounded like it was coming from the inverter (definitely not the fan or compressor). Could the inverter be making the noise or could it be coming from something behind the converter (possibly the control board?) Should I replace the inverter or check something else first?

In running the 7 point diagnostics from the control panel, everything passes but number 5, which is the compressor start. The compressor does work as the temperatures in both the freezer and refrigerator sides are correct. It seems like the compressor may just be taking longer than it is supposed to to start up. I checked the resistance at the three pins on the compressor where the power from the inverter connects to the compressor. They all read around 6 Ohms. Does this point to the inverter as possibly being bad, or some other component? Thanks.

I had the intermittent fan problem causing the area between the freezer and refrigerator doors to get hot. I replaced the relay and capacitor on the control board and the fan now works perfectly. Unfortunately, before I made that repair the compressor stopped running. I am guessing that I need a new inverter as all 3 compressor windings read right at 7.3 ohms. Is it possible there is a mechanical failure with the compressor or should I move forward with replacing the inverter? Thank you in advance for your advice.

Refrigerator does not cool. It makes a clicking noise and the compressor or fan tries to run but cuts off and clicks. I have replaced the inverter board and the mother board. I was looking for the starter relay - but assumed that was the inverter board. Is it? What else to check?
