Answer Tom, Correct, you should not attempt to modify a 3 blade module to a 4 blade module. However a stainless steel 4 blade conventional coil cartridge is available 87904 at this time. I just purchased a cooktop module (part# AP4242040) to insert into my RC8900XABO cooktop. My original module has a 4 blade connector. I understand the new one I ordered uses only 3 blades of the connector (4th not used). Will the 3 blade module work in the older cooktop or will I be required to rewire something? If so I need instructions on the rewire and wiring diagram. I also purchased a AP4292626 replacement terminal block in case I need it.

Answer Hello Tom. There is no way of wiring the 4 prong terminal block to work with the three prong cartridge. The 4 prong has been discontinued and is no longer available. Sorry.

Answer Hello Lou! The conventional cartridge JEA7000ADB has a black finish to it. Unfortunately, we do not have information as to rather or not the manufacture uses a porcelain or painted finish. Sorry.

I have an old jenn Air model #c221 which holds a A100 cartridge. Will this model fit. All four burners went out yesterday. Doesn't seem to be the elements (fairly new). Maybe the terminal block?

Answer Make sure that the cartridge is plugged in properly. The cartridge terminal block is Y708730. The element receptical kit is 12001676. The conventional cartridge JEA7000ADB will replace the A100 model. It is also available in stainless JEA7000ADS and white JEA7000ADW. Thanks!
