Answer Hello Clem, There is nothing wrong with the illustration since it is a wall cap A406 for an oven. It shows a standard 6 inch wall cap for the exhausting of cooking heat and fumes.

Answer Hello Margot. You will need to measure your vent pipe and see if it is 5" or 6". For 5" use A405 and for 6" use A406. Hope this helps.
