I have a water leak and wanted to use the Kit, Hub & Seal to replace the upper and lower seals as well as the tub seal. I have managed to disassemble the top, and gain access the Drive Bell, but can not get it off. I see there is a 'puller' but since the kit comes with a new Drive bell, is there a way to take off the old one without buying the puller?

Does this kit contain all parts to quiet a extremely loud spin out problem? If so, I am comfortable in making the repair. Thank you. Darren

Hi, I purchased the ap4253981 kit. I see the sealing washer on top of the nut. I saw in someone else's post that you say to cut the washer off with a chisel. I do not see a new sealing washer in the kit. The nut is frozen as well and I have it soaking. Several heavy blows with a hammer have not done anything but make it mad. My hub assembly is corroded pretty badly so just replacing the top Drive bell and seal are probably not an option. Any ideas? Thanks

I took the front and top off the washer. I can see a definite line where the water is spun onto the inside of the washer just below the tub. What part(s) do you recommend to fix this? Thanks.

I am replacing the hub and seal on a Amana LWA50AW washer. Bought the hub and seal kit and have a repair manual. Ran into an unusual problem. I cannot get the new hub to fit on the spline. The spline has three sets of threads. The first threads are smaller than the hub opening. The hub fits easily on the second set of threads. However I cannot get the hub to go over the third set of threads which it has to to go on the water seal. It's like it bottomed out on the top of the third set of threads. I use anti-seize. The threads appear clean. I tried pushing it on, rocking it on and tapping it on all to no avail. Any idea why I am having this problem? I would think if the hub cleared the second set of threads it should clear the third set of threads.

I am doing a hub seal repair on my Amana washer LWA50AW and ran into an unusual problem. When I try to install the new hub it will not go all the way down the spline. The spline has three set of threads. The first is smaller than the hub opening. The hub should fit and slide down the second and third set of threads. When I install the hub it easily slides down the second set of threads but will not go down the third set of threads. It feels almost like it bottoms out on the top of the third set of threads. I did use anti-seize on the threads. I cleaned any corrosion I could find on threads. I tried rocking the hub, tapping the hub, pushing hard with my hands to no avail. I cannot see any obvious damage to the threads. Considering I just took the old hub off with a puller but it came of easy, I am at a loss at why I cannot get this hub on. Any ideas?
